I’m Jace Lansing.
A photographer currently working and living in Honolulu.
When I was 23-years-old I was flown to Hawaii for my first PHOTO-SHOOT where I was the centerfold model for “Women's Surf Style Magazine”.
I fell in love with the idea of taking the pictures more than being the model. Shortly after this, I became a dance instructor for Arthur Murray' Dance Studios and learned about movement. The art of creating lines and choreography.
As a dancer I learned that it was my job to insure my partners would be in the right positions to accentuate the natural beauty of their bodies. In short, every move needed to be ready for a picture to be taken. When I take portraits I try to create an ENVIRONMENT where my subject can focus on the present and be in the moment. They trust me to handle the future.
I shoot with a Sony A7riv
and an assortment of full-frame lenses.
A good camera doesn’t make a good photographer,
but a chef has never been held back by a sharp knife.
I’m currently only accepting projects on the island of Oahu.
